The Ashlea House Bed and Breakfast was the second stop on our maritime tour. We were greeted by Mariana who made us feel very welcome and toured us through the wonderful home. She gave us a quick history of the home and was very knowledgeable about Lunenburg and the area. She gave us great recommendations for where to eat and what to see in town. As mentioned in a previous review the history and original character of the home is beautifully maintained and well appointed. Our room was very clean which we really appreciated. The breakfast was 3 courses and was exceptional. My wife was grateful that Mariana prepared separate dishes for her dietary preferences. The location is a short, walk to the main part of town. I highly recommended Ashlea House and would stay there again if I am in Lunenburg in the future.Show less

Best experience we have had!!!! The hosts were amazingly welcoming, knowledgeable and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was absolutely the best I've ever had, 3 courses and healthy. I will be recommending this place to everyone.
The Ashlea House B&B was fantastic. The house was beautiful and the staff were very nice. My girlfriend is gluten free and each breakfast was a gourmet meal, with alterations for her diet where required. Our only problem is that we only had 2 days to spend in Lunenburg and weren't able to spend more time there!
Great location. Only a few minutes to walk to town. We stayed in the family suite which was perfect for the 4 of us. Breakfast was a 3 course meal served at 830 am. It was huge! Johannes and Mariana were so welcoming. A very nice place to stay in Lunenburg.
