This place was a disappointment. The seafood stew were a few hunks of haddock and shrimp in a watery tomato base and the scallop linguine had no sauce. Was just tossed in oil with bacon. Lacked flavor, texture and it was a rushed, not so cozy atmosphere. There were a lot of reviews which led us to come here but would definitely never go back. Plus it was expensive. I know the area is nice but that does not warrant a bad meal at a high price range.
I had the Scallop Linguini and let me say it was pretty delicious. If I could give half stars I'd rate this a 3.5 overall. First off, while the food was good the dining experience left something to be desired. I went later in the evening and it was very busy. The staff were upfront about that fact and that we'd have a wait for food, which was fine since my dining party had no other plans. They said it would take about 30 minutes for food to come out. Service became lacking after we were seated at the bar. It look a while to get drink orders in and while they were slammed I feel like the sign of a great establishment is how they handle being busy. I heard at least one other table complain about how long they had been waiting for their starters and while their food came shortly after I didn't hear any attempt to rectify the wait (it was at least an hour according to the customer) for a salad. We only got mains so our food came in the allotted time frame we were given and like I said it was great and I ate it all. But aside from that there wasn't really any attempt at service and as one person pointed out when our food was dropped off the server wasn't even looking at us and was already halfway into another task. I don't recall our water being refilled without having to flag someone down either. Overall, a disappointment since I had read great reviews. I would say to try it out yourself and see if the quality of food is worth the price and the lack of service. Maybe it's better during the day and when it's slower.
Great service! Everyone was kind and welcoming as soon as we came in, great family restaurant! They have a nice out door patio as well facing the water. The mussels were delicious!
Be prepared to experience one heck of a meal. The energy from the open kitchen is so positive.Haddock is fantastic. Pizza is unreal!Plan ahead. No reservations. Get a table on the patio. The view is great. Great selection of beer on tap.Staff is excellent. Atmosphere and menu are equally great. Get you butt in a seat NOW!!!...well, when they are open :-)
